Whitening and Pregnancy

I get lots of questions about so many different aspects of dentistry that it occured to m the blog might be a good place to share some of  the issues…. Duh!!

Anyway this is a very common question…does pregnancy harm the baby? No study has yet indicated any danger to bleaching during pregnancy.  However I personally do not recommend it.

As tooth whitening is a choice not a medical need, I always recommend patients wait until after the baby is born.  The commonest time is just before going back to work for that extra confidence boost!
